Positive affirmations for the week refers to the practice of self empowerment and  positive thinking in an effort to achieve anything and everything you want. And since a healthy mind leads to a happy life, they can be an excellent way to channel an extra boost of positivity and motivation to get you through the week.

How Do Affirmations Work?

Affirmations basically train your mind to be more positive. It targets the conscious level of your mind, allowing you to become more aware of negative thinking; by being more self-aware, you’re able to correct your thinking patterns to essentially lead (and live) your days with more positivity.

However, since affirmations only target the conscious level of your mind, it’s important to take the proper steps to also healing the unconscious. Self help books and online therapy are excellent and affordable options that will help you do just that.

How To Use Affirmations?

There’s nothing easy than practicing some affirmations for each day of the week. The process is extremely simple. The different part is remember to practice your positive affirmations for the week, each day and every-time you need a pick-me-up. Here are the steps to using affirmations:

  1. Choose a positive affirmation that reflects what you want out of the day
  2. Repeat it until you believe it
  3. When you feel your mood shift towards the negative, remind yourself of your affirmation by repeating it once again
  4. Great to do with other mindful practices

7 Positive Affirmations For The Week

We’ve hand-selected seven of our favourite positive affirmations for the week, to help you thrive from Monday right through to Sunday! If none of these “hit you in the feels”, a quick search online will help you find a huge list of positive affirmations for the week.

Positive Affirmation for Monday

I have the power to choose.

This positive affirmation is great for Monday motivation, as it reminds you that you have the power to choose how you think; how you feel; how you react to negative situations and toxin people; how your Monday goes; how productive you are, etc. Everything is a choice – yes, even happiness – and it’s important to recognize that.

Positive Affirmation for Tuesday

Today, I will abandon my old habits and take up new, more positive ones.

Now that you have spent an entire day practicing the power of choices, it’s time to break old habits, so you can take on new, more positive ones. Repeat this affirmation throughout the day anytime you find doing something you wish to change, such as negative thinking, self doubt, worry, etc.

Positive Affirmation for Wednesday

I am willing to accept peace within myself so that I can bring others into my peace.

Hello, hump day!  Today, let’s practice accepting peace within yourself, so that you can start to bring others into your peace. In other words, misery loves company. If you’re unhappy, negative, miserable, etc., you likely surround yourself with the similar, which only traps you in a vicious cycle.

By practice peace – peaceful thoughts, peaceful emotions, peaceful feelings, peaceful situations, etc., you can start to enjoy more peaceful people; peaceful places and peaceful moments.

Positive Affirmation for Thursday

I have been given endless talents which I begin to utilize today.

Having anxiety or any type of mental illness often clouds our perception of what we’re truly capable of and have to offers this world. Today, let’s practice bringing attention to the things you do well, regardless of how big or small they may be, so you can begin to shift your mindset from “I’m not good enough or worthy because I have anxiety,” to “I have anxiety but I am also good at this, and this, and this…”.

Positive Affirmation for Friday

Many people look up to me and recognize my worth; I am loved; I am appreciated; I am gifted.

Let’s end the work week on a super positive note. This positive affirmation is similar to the prior, as it allows you to recognize your self-worth, so you can start to eliminate your self-doubt.

Positive Affirmation for Saturday

The world is mind and today, I am going to take advantage of it.

What better day to do whatever you want than Saturday? Spend today exploring new sights, new heights, new surroundings, new people, etc. Whether it’s going to see a movie or taking a day trip to another city, let this positive affirmation lead you on your way.

Positive Affirmation for Sunday

To take care of others, is to first take care of myself… I deserve to take care of myself.

Self care Sundays! Let this positive affirmation encourage you to do whatever you want today, as long as it’s good for your mind, body and spirit. Sundays are great for being selfish, to do whatever it is that you want to do, whether it’s reading a book, binge watching Netflix, going to a salon, taking an extra-long bath, etc.

And there you have it – your positive affirmations to get you through the week! If you forget which ones to follow for the day, we will be posting them on the Anxiety Gone Instagram.
